You were a port in my world. You were a home that is forever gone. You were wisdom and kinship. You lived and now rest by your own terms. You taught without preaching to those wise enough to hear. Independence, question everything, and no one knows the whole truth. Learn the past century and you’ll know where it’s all going. You were a smart one, weren’t you. If I can be half as loving and wise a grandpa like you, I think it will be all right. Our moments together are firmly planted in my memories. I look forward to our next whiskey and good chat my boy. with love, Your #1
